VOLLI Ambassador Wyatt Stone is one of the youngest players on the professional pickleball tour (age 18). He played his first tournament in 2019, at age 13, as a novice player and after opting to be home-schooled in order to accommodate traveling for tournaments and to concentrate on the game. By age 16, he had worked his way up to the pros, all while having no prior racket sport background. Since then, Wyatt has played in more than 90 tournaments taking 84 medals (and counting) as he moved from a beginner to the sport to playing professionally. He is currently ranked #17 on the PPA Tour in men’s doubles, #40 on the World Pickleball Ranking.
A trailblazer in the sport from the start, he shared his passion for the game by teaching others, and was the youngest Certified IPTPA Level II pickleball teaching professional at the time. Wyatt will continue teaching by offering clinics and lessons at VOLLI locations around the country.
Wyatt says VOLLI’s focus on indoor pickleball was a significant factor in his becoming a VOLLI Ambassador. “Playing indoors is ideal because the pickleball is affected by the wind,” he says. “But more than that, I’m proud to be behind VOLLI, the company that is really growing the pickleball community. The concept is really cool for families and kids who want to play the game.”
Wyatt hails from New Braunfels, Texas. The youngest of four children who all play competitive sports, Wyatt is the only professional athlete in the family. His mother, Ashley, travels with him on tour. His ultimate goal is to represent the United States in the Olympics when pickleball becomes an Olympic sport.
